Why You Still Feel Stuck After Divorce (even if you've done the work)
You’ve done everything you were supposed to do.
You went to therapy.
You journaled.
You processed.
You tried to move forward.
So why does it still feel like something’s missing? Why do you still feel. . . dare I say . . .stuck? Or maybe confused on why you don’t feel like how you thought you would feel at this stage in your healing journey? It’s because no one prepares you for what comes after the divorce.
After my divorce, I expected things to get easier.
And in many ways, they did. But once the dust settled, I found myself in a different kind of discomfort.
I wasn’t sad or lost but I was tired. I was overwhelmed. And if I was fully honest with myself, underneath it all, I still didn’t feel fully like myself. Or how I thought I would feel.
I couldn’t quite explain it at the time, but now I know:
Divorce doesn’t just end a relationship, it asks you to rebuild your identity—and no one gives you a blueprint for that.
You’re Not Doing Anything Wrong
Feeling stuck doesn’t mean you haven’t tried hard enough.
It doesn’t mean you’re behind or doing it wrong.
It means this chapter is deeper. This part is deeper because it’s not about getting over your past, it’s about figuring out who you are now—outside of your roles, your routines, your relationships, and the expectations placed on you by others.
That’s the work no one talks about.
What Keeps Women Stuck After Divorce
In my own journey—and in the work I do with clients—I have identified five hidden reasons women stay stuck after divorce:
- They’re still living by silent rules that no longer fit
- They’ve spent so long prioritizing others that your own needs feel foreign
- They’ve been holding it all together for so long and now are afraid to let go, afraid of what will happen if they let go
- They’ve done mindset work—but not the deeper integration work
- They don’t fully trust yourself (yet)
That’s not failure. That’s conditioning.
And once you see it clearly, everything starts to shift.
You Don’t Need to Start Over—You Just Need a New Path
This is why I created the Your Next Chapter VIP Day, a private, focused coaching experience for women who aren’t broken or starting from scratch—but who are ready for something more.
Together, we uncover what’s quietly been keeping you stuck—then create space for clarity, direction, and forward movement that actually feels like you.
Because this season isn’t about reinventing yourself, it’s about remembering yourself and discovering who you are today.
